Job Description Summary

The Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) is responsible for the design and implementation of individualized educational and behavioral treatment programs to clients in their homes, schools, or other natural community settings.  The BCaBA is accountable for developing the relationship with the client and family and ensuring that their treatment plan and goals are met, communicated, and agreed upon. The BCaBA coaches and evaluates therapists' performance and will provide guidance and counseling to their team members in setting programs, as well as, training and mentoring the team members to ensure high-quality service is being provided. The BCaBA will also provide assistance in the hiring, selection and placement of therapists. The BCaBA is supervised by a company assigned BCBA/BCBA-D who has successfully completed the 8-hour supervision course supported by the BACB and completes ongoing supervision continuing education as part of their recertification requirements. The BCBA or BCBA-D supervisor must acknowledge the supervisory relationship through entry of supervisee information in the supervisor's BACB Gateway account. Supervisors will be publicly identified in the BCaBA's record on the BACB Certificant Registry.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in training or supervising support staff
  • Solid knowledge of the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis, including: general behavioral assessment, goal and program development, and Ethical Standards in Behavior Analysis
  • Solid understanding of the behavioral impact of developmental disabilities, as well as, the cognitive, education, vocational and social challenges encountered by persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills and work ethic
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Ability to work effectively with various technologies such as Microsoft office, EHR/EMR systems, and access to a working computer and internet connection
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Strong Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security standards
  • Excellent follow-through skills, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field. Current Certification by the BACB or scheduled to take the Certification Exam. 

 

Experience: 2+ years of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Preferably in a home setting.
